Sony DSLR-A100 with 18-70mm lens

Canon EOS 400D / Rebel XTi
Nikon D80

We’re pleased to present a short video tour of the Sony A100, Canon EOS 400D / XTi and Nikon D80 – the three models in our 10 Megapixel DSLR group test. There’s no need to download any new software – just press the play button in the middle of the screen below and wait for the video to start; you may need to press the button twice. The quality and any delay before playing may vary depending on your internet connection.

Good points
Unique and effective built-in anti-shake system
High resolution 10 Megapixel sensor
18-70mm kit lens longer than the usual 55mm
Screen information stays upright as body rotated

Bad points
Anti-dust system far from infallible
Relatively noisy at 800 ISO and above
Kit lens soft in corners when open at wide angle
Can’t see effect of anti-shake while composing
Feels like an enhancement, not a new DSLR
