Today’s smartphones feature surprisingly respectable cameras that are capable of great results. Making the most of them involves applying traditional techniques while embracing modern features. To illustrate this, I filmed a series of video tutorials for the How To Mobile Photo channel to help you take better photos with your phone, although many of the tips are equally applicable to any camera. I’ll start with the most important one of all, discussing composition and how to apply techniques like the Rule of Thirds, then follow with a simple one on burger and coffee tips. After this one on exposure, followed by some ideas on macro and close-ups, then finally one looking at shooting buildings and architecture.
Check prices at Amazon, B&H, Adorama, eBay or Wex. Alternatively get yourself a copy of my In Camera book, an official Cameralabs T-shirt or mug, or treat me to a coffee! Thanks!
