The Fujifilm XF 70-300mm f4-5.6 is a telephoto zoom lens for Fujifilm’s X-series mirrorless cameras. Officially announced in January 2021, and costing 729 GBP, it slots between the existing XF 55-200mm f3.5-4.8 and the XF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6, delivering an equivalent range of 105-450mm when mounted on an X-series body.
The XF 70-300mm has a variable aperture of f4 at the short-end, dimming to f5.6 at the long-end, includes optical image stabilisation claiming 5.5 stops of compensation, linear motors for fast and quiet focusing, a closest focusing distance of 83cm, and packs it all into a weather-resistant barrel weighing 580g with a 67mm filter thread. The lens is also compatible with Fujifilm’s 1.4x and 2x tele-converters for even further reach.
