The Lumix FZ100 offers a variety of impressive burst shooting options, including rates up to 11fps at the full resolution. In our tests we found the 11fps setting worked out closer to 9fps at 100 ISO, but fell to just under 5fps at 200 ISO. The sequence below was shot at 200 ISO, where the camera fired-off around 5fps, but it was still sufficient to capture this fast action. We also had the camera fully zoomed-in, proving it is possible to shoot sports from a distance with the FZ100 – at least under decent lighting. Note, the 11fps mode doesn’t autofocus between frames, so several of the images below were a little soft, but most were respectably sharp if not quite 100% crisp.

The following images were taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100 updated to the latest v1.1 firmware. The Lumix FZ100 was set to Program mode with its best quality 14M resolution and Auto White Balance. Stabiliser mode was set to continuous for these shots and the ISO sensitivity was set manually. Intelligent ISO and Intelligent Exposure were disabled by default in Program mode.
