Nikon D7000 sample images

The following images were taken with a final production Nikon D7000, running firmware 1.00 (A), 1.00 (B) and 1.002 (L) and equipped with a Nikkor DX 18-105mm VR kit lens. To view sample videos taken with the D7000, please visit our Nikon D7000 Sample Movies.

For the images below, the D7000 was set to Large Fine JPEG mode, Auto White Balance, Matrix Metering (without compensation), and the Standard Picture Control. High ISO NR and Active D-Lighting were set to their default Normal and Off settings respectively. Vibration Reduction was enabled for all these handheld shots.

The individual exposure mode, file sizes, shutter speeds, aperture, ISO and lens focal length are listed for each image.

The crops are taken from the original files, reproduced at 100% and saved in Adobe Photoshop CS5 as JPEGs with the Very High quality preset, while the resized images were made in Photoshop CS4 and saved with the default High quality preset. The three crops are typically taken from far left, central and far right portions of each image. Some of the images below can be downloaded for further analysis; please respect our copyright and only use those images for personal use.
