Nikon D40x

Nikon D40x video tour

We're pleased to present a short video tour of the Nikon D40x, demonstrating its headline features and easy-to-use menus, along with comparing the differences between it and the cheaper D40. There's no need to download any new software - just press the play button in the middle of the screen below and wait for the video to start; you may need to press the button twice. The quality and any delay before playing may vary depending on your internet connection

Good points

Small, light and comfortable.
Very easy to use with helpful menus.
Consumer-friendly photos out of the camera.
Nikon's legendary metering is rarely fooled.

Bad points
Features weaker than 10 Mpixel rivals.
No auto-focus with certain, older lenses.
Some settings require too many button presses.
Basic 3-point AF and no DOF preview.
