Hi all,

Flickr has changed its format to grab the link for posting here, the old format link is like

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4078/490 ... 607b_b.jpg

I took the link above from the assignment section.

The link I got from Flicker today is http://www.flickr.com/photos/43108966@N06/4908888579/

Putting this link between in the forum does not work without clicking it. Any clues why I can't link to the forum with this so it displays the shot automatically.

Cheers

I have been wondering this as well. Spent ages yesterday trying to find it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Easy and quick fix for your problem: go to the photo you want to link to, and choose all sizes. Select the size you want, now right click the picture and depending on your browser, find the way to copy the image-url. That way, you'll get a regular .jpg-link.

It's actually even easier to link photos now, once you find the link. Flickr does most of the hard work for you. :)

1. On the image you want to display, click "Share This" -> "Grab the HTML/BB Code".

2. Select the BB Code option and the size of the image you want to display.

3. Copy & paste the text provided; make sure you scroll down within the text box to get all of it.

The copied text will give the photo a title & photographer, linking back to the photo and user's page respectively. The image itself is also a link to the photo page.

As an example, here's the text provided:
Code:
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/adria_starbug/4778425839/][img]http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4123/4778425839_7b54a5a768.jpg[/img][/url]
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/adria_starbug/4778425839/]USS76_j12[/url] by [url=http://www.flickr.com/people/adria_starbug/]Adria Starbug[/url], on Flickr

(to remove the text below the image, remove everything after the first [ /url])

And this is what it looks like:

I hope this is easy enough to follow!
