Which one would be better for the price?

I'll be getting a K10D soon but I still haven't decided what lens I want to get

Thanks! Very Happy

I thought you had decided on the D60 for sure. Ah well, nevermind that! The K10D is much better anyway! Personally I'd go with the Pentax 18-250mm as it's got more range and has great quality (and it's nice to have the name of your lens match the name of your camera for whatever reason.)

Hello Ramodkk,

Great choice buying a Pentax. Welcome to our neck of the woods.

I've reviewed both lenses and I personally would prefer the Pentax 18-250 DA.

You can view the image results of both lenses here:

Pentax 18-250
http://www.pixel-peeper.com/lenses/?lens=12783&perpage=12&focal_min=none&focal_max=none&aperture_min=none&aperture_max=none&res=3&p=1

Sigma 18-200
http://www.pixel-peeper.com/lenses/?lens=559&perpage=12&focal_min=none&focal_max=none&aperture_min=none&aperture_max=none&res=3&p=1

The Pentax on Amazon.com is listed at $423 USD and the Sigma for $269 USD. Both have really good image quality as you can tell by the links. Even though I like the Pentax better. You really can't beat the price of the Sigma. Its almost half the price. So I think your choice is clear. Sigma. Very Happy

The 18-200mm feels like trash (and it doesn't look much better) on the K10D. Don't think you should get a 18-250mm either. think you should really just save a little bit more money and get a 17-70mm f/4 and 55-300mm, but if you can't afford the 17-70mm f/4, another alternative is the cheaper Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.
