I am getting all kitted out on my new laptop and have not got any editing software and so was wondering what the forum thought of Paint Shop Pro versus Adobe Elements?

Any comments welcome.

I'm using Paintshop Pro V7 (!) still for some operations. I tried some time ago to get to grips with Adobe photoshop but couldn't cope and didn't need the functionality.
So it depends a little what you have learned to use already, because with another software there may be a steep learning-curve involved.
What did you use up to now?

I use Elements for processing raw files and then to save as a Jpeg and then Paint Shop Pro (Ver 9) to resize for uploading to the web.

My Fotopic

The latest version of PSP - X2 I think - is an improvement over the last version and it does have some nice tools for specific tasks but it's slow. Very, very slow. I note there's a new version of PSE out now also and if I had to use one or the other it would be PSE. Actually, I need to give that new version (6) a try, see what's what.
