The "Tamron SP AF Aspherical XR Di LD (IF) 28-75mm 1:2.8 Macro" ....

OY! What a looooong name, eh? ... anyway - this is my favorite lens!
Its range is perfect for indoor events that need a mix of standard to slight tele focals, like ... gee ... how about an annual hotel event with lots of crazy people running around in great crazy costumes in dark hotel alleys and dimly lit ball rooms?
One option is a huge flash with reflector.
I HATE flash! Plus, it may just be rude to use one, or outright off limits, and I for one agree with that policy!
The other option is an outright light bucket of a lens!

Enter either a bag with fixed focals, lots of lens swapping, and while you're at it ... the shot just walked away!
OR get the greatest compromise money can buy, a reasonably priced f/2.8 zoomie-zoom-zoom lens!

FANFARE! DAT-DA-DA-DAAAHHH !!

This Tamron is not just good for low light shots, but simply does great overall!
