Picasa again. :evil: Unless an image is already in the browser cache from viewing the original Picasa page the image doesn't show, at least not under Firefox.

I'd love it if a Picasa fan could step in and sort this out. As things stand I get the impression that it's useless for sharing images on forums. Might be specific to the phpBB software which runs our forum but I have no way of knowing.

Bob.

Aah, that was what I did: went to the url and then suddenly the image was also displayed on this page.
As long as this is so, just give a link to the image and don't use the img-tags!

I get the same but if I clear my Firefox browser cache (simulating a forum member coming across the image for the first time) and reload the page the image doesn't show. :(

I posted from Picasa for the July contest but the pic didn't show up. So, now I've moved to Flickr, let's see:

Thanks for your help through this post. (For the larger size, click on the image and then click on "All sizes" above the image).

How must I enter that in a post message to it will display my photo?
Thanks,

No bother:
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/29261858@N04/2732096451/][img]http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3197/2732096451_c043ba7355.jpg[/img][/url]

You get the http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3197/273 ... ba7355.jpg adress in between the [img]...[/img] tags by going to the image's page in flickr, then click on "all sizes" then on medium and then copy the second line below the image behind the "2. Grab the photo's URL:"

Easy, eh?

Yes, easy. I think I was trying to make it more complicated than it actually was. Thanks for your help Thomas :)

You have to enclose the image-address with the [img]...[/img] tags!
Try this:
