IT WORKS!!

Haven't spent that much time with it but it's done everything perfectly in virtualisation so I might not even install it on Bootcamp as originally planned.

Congratulations grahamnp. Do you happen to know if Adobe CS4 works under Windows 7?

Well I haven't tried yet and I don't have the Windows version of CS4. I might download the trial and give it a go in the next few days.

Finally, I got a key using the method linked in the article earlier. But so far no luck downloading the image from MS - it keeps breaking before finishing.

At your previous neowin link they also had a page showing how to get keys. Note it was a pain!

On the MS downloads, I got the 64 bit version 1st time. The 32 bit one keeps dying shortly. Guess I'll have to use a newer box than I was going to...

Now where is my DVD-RW...

Out of interest, are the problems you're having with the 32 or 64 bit version? I never got the 32, but 64 went in one.

Rebuilding a machine to get it up to spec now. My spare C2D box only has a CDRW so I have to move a DVD drive from another computer... and while I'm at it I need to juggle ram and video cards too. By the time I done that maybe the image would have finished writing. I have 1st gen RWs which write at 1x only...

I am trying to download the 32 bit version, as i only have a 32 bit system! Although i am not sure if a 64 bit would work on my dell inspirion 6400 laptop! Oh, bet thats a pain having to swap drives, etc! And only 1x, ouch!

Ok i am downloading now, not as quick as i would like because we have a shi* connection here, about 600kps on a good day, with a good server  ! But people please BE AWARE, if you are trying to download it, and it just gets stuck at a green spinny thing, MAKE SURE you are using IE, and that should work, tried myself with Opera first but failed, tried with IE 8, and BINGO!

Im trying to download it now but after a bit of reading I discovered why the downloads not working. Microsoft have temporarily suspended downloads due to high demand, its not as if they were expecting large amounts of downloads or anything

It's probably available from another mirror somewhere but Im just going to wait, no rush.
