Just made myself a pinhole camera. Going to try it out tomorrow if the weather will co-operate.

Anyone here have any experience using these? Any shooting advice you can offer. The camera I made as an aperture of f/90. So I reckon in sunny conditions, a 1-2 second exposure on film (with a speed of 200) should suffice?

Will post the images once I get them developed.

Bit of a play in an earlier thread here but that was on DSLRs not film.

So I think all can contribute is... good luck?

Hi there Thomas. Too bad I can offer you no advice, however, I *am* interested in the way you made the camera! Could you show us? I am quite interested! If it's not too hard (I have "two left hands" as we say in these parts) I might have a go at it myself.

In exchange ;) I offer you this link:

http://www.pinholephotography.org/

(I found the link on The Online Photographer Blog)

This guy uses exposures of around half a year  with great result! You can see the shifting trajectories of the sun during six months, all on one picture. Surreal!

Regards,

Maarten

Hi M.

Here is a link to the instructions for the camera I made.
http://www.matchboxpinhole.com/

I made it last night in less than three hours. Really easy. But I have no idea if it will really work until I have developed the film.

Hi Thomas,

I'm looking forward to seeing the results. 8)

It was a tough call but I've moved your thread over to the "Other cameras and lenses" section. I've left a "shadow" behind so everyone can find the thread from its old location. I hope that's OK with you.

Bob.

No problem Bob. I was going to put it in this section originally, but thought that there might not be much traffic here and therefore no replies and/or advice. But seeing as you left a "shadow" in the other section, it makes no difference to me.

I reckon I'll be doing some serious bracketing with this camera
