My resolution for this year. I resolve to see life through my own eyes and not those of others. I took this outside my apartment this January. It seems I worry about how others see me when I should worry about how I see things. Thus my resolution and resolve.

I've recently returned from 3 weeks travelling and photographing in India where this image of red-hot-chilli-peppers was shot. The people were great, the climate delightful, the photo-opportunities manifold and the food volcanic.

Some 8 days back in the UK, I've finally coaxed my outraged innards back to something approaching normality. My resolution for the future must therefore surely be ... "lay off these babies or pay the penalty shortly afterward!"

I'm not a risk taker, as you can see by going all in with a royal straight flush, so my resolution this year is "take a chance", don't always do the
expected..take a RISK! PP "glamour" filter, resize.

1/125
f/5.6
RAW
ISO 800

Stay in love... especially when it's messy. large

While I didn't carve this myself the initials are correct for my wife and I. Couldn't resist and drew a couple confused stares when I pulled out my camera :). I imagined a couple sitting there at the back of the street car among all the... messyness... but not caring or even noticing at all and writing their initials in the city-equivalent of tree-bark.

Body: Canon 450D (Rebel XSi)
Lens: Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS (kit lens)
Aperture: f/4
Focal Length: 28mm
Sensitivity: 1600
Edits: Contrast/exposure/blacks with a bit of cropping
