MIDNIGHT GMT 31ST JANUARY 2009
SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED - LET THE VOTING BEGIN!
POLLS CLOSE 21ST FEBRUARY, WHEN THE WINNER GETS TO CHOOSE THE THEME FOR MARCH!
Good luck, everybody.
Bob.
Hello everyone, welcome to January’s Assignment!
The theme for this month is "Resolutions", as suggested by Orsan Kart who won the November 2008 competition.
In Orsan's own words: "I have a wee idea for January's assignment which is very fitting for the time of year and something that we could all do quite easily. So my choice of topic for January is "Resolutions". Things you're going to give up, things you want to achieve etc. I think we should go old skool on this one and use what comes out the camera with very little processing like the use of cropping, contrast and exposure for correction only."
So there you have it, the theme for January is "Resolutions", and as always the image you submit has to be taken during the month of entry – that is, taken during January 2009. Photos taken on an earlier date will be disqualified! And remember, all images submitted here MUST be no more than 500 pixels on their longest side.
Good luck!
RULES!
1: The photo you submit should be taken during the month of the actual assignment - so for this month's contest, it must be taken during January 2009. Photos taken earlier will be disqualified!
2: You're only allowed to submit one image, and you can't change your mind once it's posted!
3: Images should be no larger than 500 pixels on their longest side.
As always, please exercise good judgement on what is suitable for the forum.
Please include a sentence or two with your photo describing what you were trying to achieve and if there were any particular challenges in doing so.
We're all enthusiasts here, so it's also great to see what equipment you used and the settings too. So please also include the following:
Camera Model:
Lens and focal length:
Aperture:
Shutter Speed:
Sensitivity:
Post processing:
Submissions will close at midnight GMT on 31st January 2009. The final poll will follow.
Please remember this thread is for submissions only and that posted images should be no more than 500 pixels on their longest side. If you'd like to comment on any of the submissions or ask any questions, please do so in the
January 2009 comments thread!
Thanks and good luck!
