"Woohoo" :D thanks guys, im still baffled as to why? That flu was one hard one too shift.

i have a wee idea for January's assignment which is very fitting for the time of year and something that we could all do quite easily. So my choice of topic for January is "Resolutions".

Resolutions - I like it! Are there any additional rules, or does anything go?

PS - shall we rule out a screengrab of a Windows or Mac display control panel right now?!

I think we should go old skool on this one and use what comes out the camera with very little processing like the use of cropping, contrast and exposure for correction only.

Hmm, I don't get it: What's the core of the "resolution"-chalenge?

Hello,

Seems I'm on my last day to vote!
To be fair, this is for make with time and in a "cold" manner :)

So, here my comments:

joebaynham:
I liked especially the tone. And you have the merit to be the first.

BOF Chris:
Wow... what a lovely refrigerator you have. No frost, though!
(interesting... when I saw the November's theme, I thought on that "cloudy" frost breath like that comes out from the refrigerator when opened. I was defeated since my it's no frost).

Neil:
In my humble opinion, I see a strobe well applied though you could explored more the contrast and the focus to recover more detail on the wood in the front of the subject. I found that wood texture lovely, and leading us to the rocks!

Orsan Kart:
Terrific! Great job! Initially I felt it could be cropped on the right side. But After I've realized that "black hole" gives lot of drama here!

Nostrum:
No frost model? :-)) :D
This is terrific!... Like Orsan and Alex... I must decide on who vote until the end of this writing!

mikeroch:
I must comment.
A very good and interesting idea... but i feel the programmed mode of your G7. I bet the aperture was to fast.

Alex_Venom:
Did I referred you before? :)
I bet you refrigerator it's also no frost... and you tried on other way! :D
Very good idea... It's the kind of stimulus i must welcome.

Mark-A:
Very good (may I say as always?)
Be careful... San Miguel will get you for the next job! :)

naniani:
Another very good composition I need to mention! :) And those colours!!!

Lensbaby:
What I like here it's the composition... the space you gave to the upper right corner, and the opportunity sense "shutting" with the blue eyes on that direction.

Q u e n t i n:
This is brilliant . But I don't know how I can't feel any coldness here. By the way, I felt warm.

Phil_Lowe:
That's another great composition to be mentioned on this month assignment!
(I was wondering me if this photo was without that black wall shape on the right side, it was my vote this month)

Bjorn:
I think Bjorn have to be mentioned. I found his work constantly well done!

Bob:
I've enjoyed your trek! :)

Shinogo:
Something interesting happened with your photo. Many times when I'm out or even at home, when I read email by my mobile I finish to visit the CL forum from his tinny screen (320x240).
And your photo have a different (on a much better way) from this device. (Maybe a opportunity to read and learn more about resizing and sharpening, as my level on image manipulation it's so bad)

mirageii
Here I felt 1.8 too much. Would be good to have more detail on the wood back on the subject by stopping aperture down.

Well seems all my comments are done. Hope to being some "no frost" comments :)) :D
I intend to make this kind of writing every on months assignment, and share with you my feelings about. Always in a constructive manner, even if some times with more enthusiastic mood.

So... the most difficult part... my vote.
I've found the Alex Venom the best of!

Kind regards to all Cameralabs Forum members.
Wish you all a Very Good and Happy 2009!!!
