Well since Im near to buy my first dslr and its probably going to be Nikon D80. Im wondering which lens in kit I should go for?

af-s dx vr 18-55/3,5-5,6g ed
af-s dx 18-105/3,5-5,6 g ed vr

Im little confused between these. As 18-55 kit costs 536€ and 18-105 only 63€ more which one is more better? For future thinking this is hard mainly because if I save now those 63€ and get later some other lens like 55-200 I shouldnt need then 18-105 so much?

Help appreciated and thanks in advance!

In this case, I'd definitely go with the 18-105, you won't be disappointed if I may believe every user of this lens on this forum. And for your interest, there is another topic on this forum which handles pretty much the same question. Maybe this will help you on the way.

both.

i've had both for quite some time and they both have their place.

the 18-55 has no reach but has some pretty excellent macro capabilities.

the 18-105 is great when you need that extra reach, the all-time manual override on the focus ring is great too!

ps- i ditched my 55-200 when i got a 18-105 with my d90.

It's a simple choice here. The 18-105 has much better built quality. Besides,it's the best budget lens on the market, packing a very good range & very nice optics.
