I plan on starting my own Portrait business. And to get started, I need to buy equipment. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Photoflex products?

i haven't used them but they seem to be alright maybe you could look up some reviews on google. i've used photogenic mono lights before all 1000 watts or more, if you really want to get serious about a studio i'd look at something with more power.

I use Photoflex's Litedome softbox, and it's great.

I haven't used Photoflex monolights, but I've heard good things about them.

You might want to also consider: Alien Bee's, Photogenic, Norman, Britek, Interfit...

You can get some great deals if you are an eBay user. Many people sell their lights and/or kits and you could potentially save some money.
