This sounds like a good topic. I think this is the first one I'm going to participate in. No idea of what I'm going to do yet, but I do have a whole month to figure it out.

Great to hear you've thought about joining in on this one. The idea behind choosing such a theme was the breadth available, and it's far less intimidating than the self-portrait topic from last month.

Joebaynham - a simple but effective entry. It's already set a good standard for the other entries.

BOF - that's a well stocked fridge!

Hey Guys,

I know that November represents the bigning of cold season but Im in hot here (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) so no cold weather for me :-(

Any how I don't need to feel the cold to shoot for this theme, right? I will participate for this theme for sure. How many pictures are allowed?

DCMAN363, you're allowed only one submission, and once you're entered that one image, you can't change it. Gordon makes the rules quite clear in his initial post to the entries thread.

As for the theme, think laterally. Cold doesn't have to be the weather. BOF has an alternative take on the topic. There are abstract interpretations if you look for them, to which I alluded to in the description of the theme. I won't suggest any explicitly in this reply so you can brainstorm for ideas without influence.

Good luck.

Oh dear Orsan, you do look poorly, you look like you need a hot water bottle and a hot whisky toddy, you`ll feel better in no time. (The whisky is solely for medicinal purposes of course) :D
I really like the photo, sue :)
p.s. reminds me i must go and get my flu jab done. :) :)

I can see both. And it's your local time that counts. So if it was November in your time zone it's okay.

Make sure your image url ends in .jpg or other image format extension. Don't use the address bar to copy url, right click the image and click on "copy image location." Should work every time (unless there's protection like in Flickr.)
