I've been thinking alot about which camera to go for. And I know the Nikon D80 with the great lens is the best, but what do u think about the other kit? The resen why I'm asking is that the sony kit would be alot cheaper, but i dunno about the camera, is the D80 rly that much better :?:

Btw Im also thinking about taking the D80 with the 18-135 mm lens, It's alot cheaper but I wont get the image-stabillisation, the zoom or the quality...

Ps: I've seen all the videos with the lenses and cameras, so pls dont give me any links with videos or reviews, just your opinion and what u would choose :D

You know what I would say, don't you!? So perhaps it's better for the others to chime in and give you the independent insight...
But how much is the difference between both kits? More than 200$??

Nikon D80 with 18-135mm about 7800 dkr.- (dkr. = dansish krones) :D
Nikon D80 with 18-200mm about 11700 dkr

Sony alpha 100 with 18-70 + 70-300 about 8000 dkr.

So the one-lens kit with the Nikon is about the same as the 2-lens kit with the Alpha - just as i would have thought!
Go for the Nikon D80+18-200VR...
I had to say it

A100 is dead cheap right now, you can get the 18-70 kit for 4860DKK, add to that a used Minolta 70-210/4 at 1500DKK and a 50/1,7 at 750DKK (upper average prices) you will have a serious good kit at only 7110DKK that will give you much more versitility. Only problem is to find those two lenses :) I would recommend the old 70-210/4 over the kit 75-300 - it's sharper and it decent for macro shots. You can look at the user review page at some sample shots with both lenses.

Yesterday I bought the Nikon D80, I thougth I'd buy it with the 18-200mm VR. But the price difference from getting it with the 18-135mm and only the house was minimal so I decided to go for the 18-135mm as a beginning. My next lense will probably be the 70-300mm VR as it costs the same as the 18-200mm VR :D I haven't rly got a chance to try the camera for real since I've only had it for a couple of hours, but there might come a small review later on.
