Well WestCoast got my vote, the meaning behind the photo beat the rest... but it was a tough call! So many good entries...

Great work everyone

OCTOBER 21ST 2008 MIDNIGHT GMT: THE POLL FOR SEPTEMBER'S ASSIGNMENT IS NOW CLOSED!

79 votes have been cast and we have a winner! Congratulations to long-time Cameralabs forum member Photoj on a win with 12% of the votes! Photoj now has until the end of October to name the theme for November's Assignment, plus any conditions like allowing post processing, montages etc. Photoj, please let us know your theme and rules in this thread.

As always, thanks to everyone who entered, especially the first-timers - and congratulations also to duker21 who came a very close second with 11% of the votes, and matthiasmesser and millfarm who came joint third with 7% of the votes each.

Gordon

Thanks for all the votes, and it means something to me to have been chosen (and more spectacularly as I didn't take the image with the assignment in mind). I didn't vote for this assignment as I was torn between two - Camut and Orsan Kart's entries. Two different, dynamic, monochromatic entries. Both equally as brilliant.

I have a few ideas for the next assignment, but before jumping into one, I'll deliberate for another day or two before I let you all know.

Just wanted to say congratulations to PhotoJ. Additionally, wanted to say thank you to all the folks who voted for my entry. It was a big surprise considering there were a ton of good entries this month.

I'll try to do better next time.

Keith

Keith, congrats to you too - you were just one vote from a draw and two from a win!

Great image, a wonderful first entry, and all from your first post - we look forward to hearing and seeing more from you here and across the forum!

I'm glad to say I've given the next topic some thought and decided against the obvious ones (Autumn/textures). The next theme will be:

Cold

Present an image that represents this subject, be it something tangible or abstract. As we're dealing with digital photography, we'll embrace post-processing and have no limits in that area.

Good luck, and have fun.
