Sort of that "Halloween" sort of spin on this one. Learning a little about doing layers, and what a challenge that was with no book or instructor, but found a tutorial online. All that heavy eye makeup was done with the darkening brush.

This is me. I found it rather hard getting myself into focus, so I shot myself in the mirror :)

Or how to combine two subjects, neither of which are particularly camera friendly, into something that ain't that good either.

Still, you now know there's at least one bloke on the forum with his hair on upside down and you'll have something to stick pins in when I do something you disagree with.

Both photographs were taken this morning and combined using Photoshop (the layer blend method was "Multiply"). Lots of trial and lots of error but it was a fun way to learn so a big thank you to Zorro for allowing a free post-processing rein this month.

Bob.

      EXIF for the Landscape portion
  • Camera Model = Canon EOS 40D
  • Exposure Time = 1/320 second
  • Lens F-Number = f/4
  • ISO = 100
  • Original Date/Time = 2008:10:18 08:24:12
  • Flash = Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
  • Focal Length = 24 mm

    A polarising filter was used.

One of the great rewards of taking photos in Fall is the opportunity to capture the beautiful red, orange, and yellow colors. This photo was taken in Russia while walking on the Moscow State University campus.
