Yeah I've been waiting for this for 6 months now  .

First it was "Oh yeah they'll be announced at WWDC". Alright I'll wait, June came, nothing... Alright I'll keep waiting.

Finally, they release it! It looks great and I'm really glad I waited. Now I'm just debating whether to wait until MacWorld in January just in case...

We'll see.

Anyways, Go Apple. :)

The Macbook sure looks nice,

Actually thinking of getting a Mac only for my editing stuff, would run me about the same price a pretty good lens

Its quite a shame that those notbooks/pc or what ever you want to call it, are so freaking expensive! Seems to me as they should be REALLY happy with their marketing

Yep, knew this was comming for weeks =)

Specs are no surprise either really.

Core 2 Quad would have been a nice addition, maybe saving it for the 17" models at macworld?

The new laptops are and look amazing!Although the non Matte thing is not going to be good for graphic designers and us photographers either. I like how they also still sell the older ones for a cheaper price :D Maybe I mite upgrade from the MB which I have now to a 17' MBP.

Josh :D

What's this I hear Alex?!?! 8)

I don't know why the removed the matte option on the MBP. I've been reading MacRumors and it seems like a lot of people are unhappy about this, me included. I agree with you DD.

Anybody not like the MBA style chiclet keyboard? I don't

I think the real upgrade is with the MBs, I think those are very nice now.

the new MBP uses two graphics cards one low-end efficient one for simple tasks like word processing and a high-end fast battery guzzling one for things like photoshop!

cant wait to get me one, my mac mini is due for an update

Too bad it requires you to log out and log in again before the changes take effect. I know Sony's just require the flick of a switch, not sure what Alienware's is.

LOL

And Apple prided themself on not always having to reebot after silly system updates.

Whos laughing now

Although, I also hope they fix the apparent "strength" of the MBP, it was flimsy as hell, well the 17" one anyway, the lid would just fall if you tilted it - My IBM's screen latch was nice and solid, not stiff, but ... well the MBP is like a lens with zoom creep - put it that way :P

Was working with AI yesterday on this little project of mine, and it would just take too long to get things done, i was working on my stationary PC. Either i do that i i start throwing out some part in the stationary one and "upgrading it"

Probably cheaper to upgrade the whole PC.
