This shot wasn't taken with this months theme in mind, but in retrospect i think it has a point to make. We've come a long way as a species; invented some mind-boggling creations which've changed our lives. Including the autombile... Engines, transmissions, fuel injection systems, they're spectacular pieces of machinery. Shining examples of urbanism, an exclamation of mans growth...
But even so, as awesome as these creations may be, and however far we may progress, somehow we still can't even begin to reproduce even the simple perfection of a dew-drop on a leaf. Which is why when it came down to choosing the focal point of this image, it was a no-brainer...

Hope it's not too late,it's about 22:20 in my city. :) (30 september)

Well,I did some city shots today. I didn't capture the buildings, construction sites, cars & traffic or night city lights...instead I went for a part of the river that races through the middle of Bucharest.

Image

Camera Model: Panasonic DMC-FZ8
Focal length(in 35mm): 79mm
Aperture: f/3.2
Shutter Speed: 1/13
Sensitivity: 100
Post processing: the colors look good, the sharpness is max,I decided to leave the photo as it is.

p.s. Sorry Bob,for one minute I had the idea that 500 pixels is maximum size only in wide.

Hello all,

my contribution of this month´s assignment is my hometown photographed during a stroll. It was very cloudy but at that moment some sunrays made it to lit that little mountain with those green acres. It is a HDR composed from one RAW.

Data:

23.09.08 13:29:21 Nikon D200+18-200VR
ISO 100 FL 32 mm F/8 1/125 sec.

Kind regards,
