Urbanism in tiny Denmark. Aarhus - second largest city of Denmark - seen from the harbour.

Like the framing with the empty benches and grey walls. Gives the picture a story. Empty benches, depressing colours, not a single person - guess I'm not in love with urbanism. But makes a decent capture. And love the theme.

Well thought I would have a go at it this month, this is about as "Urban" as you can get around where I live.
The location is just slightly NW of Bracknell town centre which is about 4 miles from where I live, it shows old people's bungalows in front of ordinary houses with the disused 3M building in the background.

I really haven't had time to go out and properly take some photos of some origional ideas I had in mind. But I still liked this photo I took at the begining of the month.
A small jetty that doesn't go out far just a small way into the canal at low tide, with the lights of the industrial shipping docks across the bay.

Manila road cut. Massive conrete structures, darkly tinted auto glass hiding faces, climbing ivy for landscaping, could be any city.

And there was that one time I got stuck in Downtown St.Paul in my car during the RNC for 2 hours. It was one of the final days. Urban life as we know it.

firstly i have to say to orsan kart what a bloody great shot that is mate. almost stopped me posting.
but then again i'm just a newbie so in for a penny eh?

Image

my shot shows indoor winter gardens in my home city of sunderland. to combat the spread of the concrete jungle we try to bring a little green to the city (by trapping the jungle indoors like ourselves?) but i like the way the plants seem to be trying to escape through the window.

sony a200 + 18-70mm f3.5-5.6

no post processing as i haven't invested in any software yet
pity, as i'd love to darken the sky a bit and green up the greenery..
