I am not sure the second really falls under the category of urbanism but I like it and want to post it. So If I am aloud I will most likely post the second but if not I now have a backup.

Whether an image conforms to the competition guidelines is pretty much left up to the member concerned. Unfortunately I do have to waste my time removing oversized entries and PMing the offenders but the only other situation where I would personally intervene is if there was an egregious violation of the request to "please exercise good judgement on what is suitable for the forum", and even then the entry would get flagged for Gordon to make a final decision.

I'm not going to offer an opinion about your images above (I like them both) but what's the point of posting an image in the competition if you feel it isn't really connected with the subject for the month? It isn't likely to get many, or any, votes however good it is.

Bob.

matthiasmesser, what a great photo,i loved the collosseum i only saw it in daylight, but its one impressive building.Maybe if i return to Rome i`ll get to see it in the evening.

I had so many thoughts spinning around my head on what to do for this months assignment, but i knew that i wouldnt be able to get to where i wanted to shoot, so have submitted one from my local area.PHEW ! A weight off my mind, lol, now i can relax and enjoy seeing what everyones elses ideas are.

Good luck to everyone who enters

Hi Sue,

thanks for your praise! Of course, there's a bit of good
luck here that my trip to Rome came at the right time.
And I know exactly what you mean: It's one hell of a time
until you have made your choice.
I definitely like the colors in your street-composition.
Cheers, Matthias

This months theme seems not as popular as previous ones... I have a problem in that I cannot enter as I do not live in or are near any Urban Areas, here in South East Berkshire it is more just leafy, quiet village's.

I live in rural Arkansas, so "urban" may have a different meaning to me.
(yikes) However, will not be deterred, will keep on looking and see what I can come up with. How about a flock of egrets...neh...skip that...

You know what I say to egrets. Duck.

Lensbaby, I have come up empty, as well, however there are still a few days left...

I submitted a photo...there is really nothing remotely "urban" in my surroundings. Was amazed to see that one of the entries had created his own skycraper. How inventive and original. There are a lot of interesting images this month..so I'm waiting for your submission.

Yup unless this rule does not include editing after posting. Maybe only reposting another picture. I'm not sure though.
