'Damsel in distress'
A considerable chunk of luscious grass that is part of a small park-like area with trees and a statue with two benches by a big pond with water lilies and ducks is temporarily taken over to function as storage area for materials used in renovation of the sewer system. So where otherwise the statue is a dominant feature in a more gentle environment now its presence is dwarfed by the side effects of current human activity.

When you live in a village there are not that many subjects that fit this month's assignment. So 'luckily' these works are currently going on here since a few days. Funny because I had been thinking the past weeks how work being done on some infrastructure could be a suitable subject. I was beginning to think that I wouldn't be able to find something to enter this month but... mission accomplished.
The compressed perspective resulting from the zoom brings the pipes closer to the foreground and makes them much more noticeable. This was the first shot I took. I then took a few from closer by with a shorter focal length but not having that shortened perspective made them lack the presence of the pipes this one has.
