Nikkor 55-200mm VR @ 90mm
ISO 200, F/8, 1/250 sec, Center Weighted Average Metering
Shot in NEF and processed with Capture One LE and Photoshop Elements 5
Minor cropping and resizing by a factor of 3.

Well, the stem of the flower looks like a power cable that was plugged into an outlet to light up the flower :D

Yes, I use the 55-200 VR almost all the time - I put the kit lens on a few weeks ago for some wide angle tourist shots around Washington DC - that was the first time I took the 55-200 VR off since I bought it :D
