In a complementary effort to Patti's emminently successful thread "da duck O' the day
" where already some geese, swans and egrets turned up I thought of some collecting thread where we could muse about the prettyness of other "feathered friends". As I don't see specific species sticking out in the other posts/threads so far let's assume this one is about the beauty
of (more or less) exotic birds.
Let me take this off be posting some examples I came across to give you an idea of what I mean and let's see whether this can develop into some kind of "definitive thread": A collection of beautiful, interesting, colorful and feathered friends.
But please: No ducks

Btw.: Shooting through the wire netting is pretty easy if you look out for:
1. use wide aperture (like f/4.0)
2. watch that the wire is shaded. Use your hand or press the sun-shade of the lens directly against it.
