Hey i am looking to but a Manfrotto 190XPROB Pro tripod but obviously i would like to get a head to go with it I would like a manfrotto ball and socket what would you recommend to use I will be using a A300 aswell as a 300mm lens at time's don't want to spend much really. I would be very thankful for any help.

Is that the 75-300mm, the 70-300mm or the 300mm f/2.8? That last one would require a very strong head. :D But since you wrote you don't want to spend too much, I assume it's not 300mm fixed.
I'm no expert on heads, still looking for one myself (combined with the Manfrotto 055XPROB). 804RC2 might be an option, or the 808RC4. They are expensive though. However, you'd best get good support for your camera, you don't want it to fall because the head is cheap and not made for DSLR camera's with longer lenses.

Hi, I have the 804rc2 and it's very easy to adjust accurately, very smooth and strong.
One thing I would point out is watch what bag that you may buy for your tripod as some of the smaller ones don't allow tripod and head to fit with the control arms attached, go for a bigger bag.
