Camera Labs

I think I mighy buy the Quantaray 55-200mm lens on friday along with a speedlight for my D40, but I gotta stay cheap since I am saving up for D80/D200. So I have $220 and I wanna get a lense and a flash my plan right now is:

Quantaray 55-200mm
Quantaray QF30

this is within my budget so If there is another combo you can think of help me out. If anybody knows anything about the two share with me, I have been looking at them for a couple weeks now and I have seen some good results and heard good things.

another change in plans... I just found out that the Quantaray 55-200mm doesn't work with the D40 so I am going with the Nikkor 55-200mm VR and will pass on the speedlight for now...although if I can come up with like another $50 then I will get it too.

Nathan, just one remark on buying a speed-light. If it's not a big step-up in power just get along with the built-in flash. Your D40 has superior high-ISO capabilities, and that gives the camera-flash a great advantage.
And the idea of having a stabilized lens like the Nikkor VR 55-200mm is that you can do available light shooting. No need for an additional flash there.
if you later on really need an extra flash, go for the more powerful, like SB-600/800, that can be used as slaves to the onboard flash. That way you get real value for your money...
