Hey, you'd be pretty unfocussed if someone tied a fender around your neck.

yes, yes, it would be difficult for quackage to dive, or even torpedo, with a sinker tied on...and Robert, where IS your waddle? Oh,you were just going out to capture the perfect plume, yes? Well in their stead, you know I would love to see the pups, and speaking of pups, Lah has not posted the low rider version of the Axis of Evil, and his master-mind accomplice, in months.

You two must be busy this summer.

Patti, I thought you'd like to see this image. Not my own work, it was taken by a friend, but it shows some funny ducks! (Sorry I can't show it in this post, I don't have a .jpg link).

For some more of her duck shots, click here or here.

Bjorn, I love that link! the first one, with dunking waddles, is my very favorite, it is just about how life goes...someone is getting mooned, and snorkeling is an art form. Much better with friends..wonder what they were all doing down there?

gracias, Bjorn..appreciated the link.

Can't speak for LahLahSr, of course, but the combination of a still ongoing high recreational workload (home cinema upgrade) coupled with some rubbish weather has conspired against much photography. Hopefully a fortnight in the Lake District will put that right later in the year. 8)

oh, now you guys are talking....Nitro. Quacks up. An excellent rendition of ostrich interpretations by a Waddle..in the Summertime!! I like those curly-ques on their tails..and how the keep their heads down, butts up, and feet still in the water, is an engineering dynamic that is a marvel. Think not? You try it! Masterfully captured.

Symtex...I was loving those little brown ducks, and really like that duck in the water that is the same color as the little foater. And the Goosage! oh, my gosh...the Canadians get my vote for best gooseage. Love the lighting, and the startled look on the Grand Goose...well done!!! Beautiful capture.
Makes me so happy that you thought of "DDOD" while you were out and about...
THOMAS!!!! I can not stop looking at this blue eyed study. You have just set that bar a little higher..the shadow you captured on her eye, makes her look a little sleepy-dreamy. I love these..want to make another coment, but am late for work....
dd. get quacking.

thanks you guys, for making my day...off to work, will check back tonight

love,
p

But here's another water bird for ya with the girl I posted last week...

This heron isn't shy at all. I tried making noises so he'd fly away (i wanted an action shot), but he was too stubborn.

hi patti,in June i posted you a laughing duck with my old compact and said i post one hopefully with my new dslr.Well, here it is, its a ringed teal (at least that what it said on the sign, and i couldnt see any other ducks about) unless anyone knows differnet. Anyway, this cute little teal looks to me as though he`s plucking up the courage to get his feet wet. :D regards naniani
