I wanted to take a shot at solar 1(solar power plant) but unfortunately i don't have a jet to get there. And without further a due. here is my first submission! Post processing could have darkened the colors.

I've been wanting to submit an image to the monthly "on assignment" but never found a suitable image. I took this image a couple of nights ago. It was my second long exposure photo (the first being the HDR waterfall I posted a couple of weeks ago!) I've taken but the first I've done at night to capture light trails. I also wanted to spend some time at the small end of the aperture scale as I find many/most of my images tend to be wide open. I'm pretty pleased with the result. I actually captured two I was quite pleased with and it was a difficult choice between the two but this one had a more prominent light and so seemed more apt to the assignment.

Canon EOS 40D
Exposure 1/320
F14
Manual
ISO 400
Focal Length 85m
Lens 17 - 85

i have decided on this photograph for this months Assignment, being sunlight at sunset taken this evening on Tywyn beach here in mid wales. It was a little to cloudy on the horizon for my liking but i still kinda like this shot.

Hi, just signed up this week after seeing this month's assignment; I was out trying my new camera and I thought this suited this month's theme quite well. I'm a total beginner at DSLR photography, and would appreciate any constructive criticism!

EDIT: Just read the rule about no post processing, so ill swap the original image for one I haven't edited yet!

Camera Model: Nikon D80
Lens and focal length: Nikon 18-135mm kit lens @ 24mm
Aperture: F/18
Shutter Speed: 1/1250
Sensitivity: ISO 200
Exposure: -2EV
Colour Temp: 9900K

The Power of Light - lets you see, wherever you are.

Image

It seems this man was enjoying his stroll at the beach while using his handphone's internal camera as a mirror.

Camera: Sony A200
Lens: 75-300mm f4.5-5.6
Focal length: 300mm
Exposure programme: Aperture priority 'A'
Shutter speed: 1/1000 sec (0.001 sec)
Aperture: f5.6
ISO sensitivity: 100
Flash: Did not fire.
Post processing: Absolutely none.

This was taken with my new favourite lens. I guess I just didn't get to use this lens enough, and now that I do, I love it! :D Only bane is the weight, length, and 'zoomed in too far' for versatile use.

I had went out on three outings(this the third one) before I finally got something that wasn't 100% terrible for the theme.

One day I will get at least one vote! :D

Camera Model: Panasonic DMC-FX33
Lens and focal length: 4.6mm (28mm equivalent?)
Aperture: f/2.8
Shutter Speed: 2.5s
Sensitivity: ISO100
Post processing: none :)

Above info taken from exif, I had very little control over the settings. Photo is the view of Seoul from my hotel room. There are certainly a lot of lights, taking a lot of power...
