the real problem for someone like rv65 is: Does he already know how important this or that feature is to him? Look at the 5fps feature. How can someone be sure that this is important to have over 3fps if he has had no chance really trying it out.
Same goes with me. I was so convinced, that I need a pol-filter, I even had a pol-filter in the past, but I grossly overestimated the usefulness of this "feature".
In the end I'm happy that my decision to go with Nikon turned out to be mostly correct:
: superb exposure in automatic, fantastic 18-200mm stabilized zoom, low-low noise, best flash-system, nice view-finder
: no camera-based anti-shake, dust, no 10-22mm wide.
Here, I said it: the D80 has cons
To me these factors are more important than the 5fps or the format of the memory-card, or whether I have life-view or not.
Perhaps we should make a poll what the top 3-5 buying criteria are for those that already have a DSLR, to give some guidance to those who are currently thinking about it.
I'd just collect some topics here, and when we have enough then setup the poll.
