Hi guys...I'm going on a holiday to the black forest, switzerland and france and i thought a tripod would be useful...i read some reviews here and there and i would like an opinion whether i should buy a tripod with a height over one metre or a small compact one say....60cm? What do you think? And which one do you suggest? What do you think about this jessops tripod?
Tripod link Do i need to buy anything extra to it? (cause i have no clue about tripods etc.. and do you know if jessops sends to europe? Thanks

personally if you were getting a cheaper quality tripod and have a Best Buy near you, go with this one http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 6470448706
i got it and it works great for my purposes. but then again, i dont do crazy things or go places it would break potentially?

either way, its lightweight and folds just shorter than my femur, with a nice little bag and strap.

At 13 quid, it's not going to be an amazing tripod to be honest. The head will be made of plastic and so will be flexible. You might be worth putting a little bit more money towards a monopod. I've had a couple of cheap tripods in the past and they're not really worth the money.

As my mate always says, "You buy cheap, you buy twice!"
