B&H ships to mexico 8) !, i think i will get the 40D now!

I'm totally biased but I think you'll be delighted. Will you be ordering by following the link from our affiliate stores page. It's the same price to you but CameraLabs gets a small commission which helps keep the lights on!

On a wider note, I'll change the title of this thread to reflect that this is no longer a rumour. 8)

Bob.

Shure ill do!, cuz after all, i get the rumour (when it was a rumour) and the B&H link here!

Im amazed that they send packages worldwide 8) , A+ for B&H :D

Ill still have to pay about 15% of border tax, but lets be fair:

$1,129 + $70 of transport and about 15% of taxes = 1,378
A great improvement over the 1,700 i was looking to spend if i buy it online in Mexico, and a super amazing improvement over the 2,500 that it costs in a department store in my town 8)

And as the guarantee of canon US is not valid worldwide i may buy the SagemaX guarantee, but ill think of that later.

aaaaaaahhhhhh, now that is GREAT!! So great I think I'll puke.

I purchased my Canon Eos 40D + 17-85mm just 5 Days ago for 1650 (incl extra Battery and Camera Bag).... aarrrrghhhh 200 bucks....Thats 2/3 of the 50mm 1.4 that I'll buy in 2 weeks

But the 40D is great. I already love it. The 17-85mm is ok, but not great. Much too slow. But I decided agianst the 17-55mm 2.8, because I plan on using the 10-22mm and the 50mm 1.4 a lot more for the real "planned" shots. For general "walkaround" pictures I think the 17-85mm is fine.

man, 5 days is really kind of bad timing..
