Hi everyone, this is the thread for your comments and questions about entries in the May 2008 submissions.

Thanks,

Hi thestig, thanks for kicking off this month's Assignment, but I'm afraid you've broken one of the guidelines - the submissions should be taken during the month of entry - so for this one, during May 2008.

Of course you posted this image as an alternative for April, so that kind of gave the game away!

This guideline is to encourage us all to go out and take new photos as oppose to raiding our existing collections, but we'll let this one go this time as we believe you took it only a few days ago.

Thanks!

Gordon

PS - the image posted is also bigger than our Assignment guideline of 500 pixels on the longest dimension, so again to be fair on everyone entering, please ensure your images are the correct size - and also taken during the month of the competition. Thanks!

YAY!!!! Off to a great start....wanted to wish Melvin, and Smiha, Lensbaby and theSTig, a YAY! Good going on the first submissions, love the reflection pond, Melvin..and a first post, too!! Smiha managed to complete the assignment, with a reflective take off, and that was a first post!!!Lensbaby with a sideways glance, faces in the middle...innovative. The Stig, looking in the side view mirror, pretty cool and erayman, with his reflections of days gone by..the past reaching into the future...I am thinkin that this one is going to really branch out, and some of the folks who have been hesitant to post, will find a way with this good thread.

Love these first ones, they make me think of how I can contribute a great submission, and look for something unique...have my camera today, out on a walk about after work this afternoon..wonder what awaits?

So that's what it is!

I was thinking: "Wait a minute...there's something about this photo that just isn't right"

Very cool Lensbaby. :P

Thanks for the positive comments, although I admit this one is a bit on the bizarre side. I see even more new members this time around. That's a good thing! :D

Hi nitroshots - great photo, but please post a smaller version which is no more than 500 pixels on its biggest dimenstion to comply with the assignment guidelines - so no more than 500 pixels tall please!

And remember everyone, the photos are supposed to be taken during the month of the assignment - which means all photos submitted so far should have been taken in the last few days!
