Sorry for the brutally late reply -
Enche Zein: Preparing the file for print.
I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I made my adjustments and finally exported to jpg 100% quality. The final color mode was RGB. During the processing I used LAB color for sharpening the Lightness channel. It is really a great way to go as it does not touch any color in the process. Since this shot was ordered as 16x24 I sent the file sized for 16x24, this was all done in Photoshop. This final prints were cool and I issued certificates with them...it was a really great learning experience!
Gregory.Rotter How much did you make?
For this my first sale I just charged twice my lab costs and also since this was a coworker I didn't charge any labor. There was no framing. The prints were a mirror of each other and some sculpture goes in the middle. I asked the customer to send me a snapshot of the final display. Good times
I did get a cool job last week in which I have to shoot all the jewelry for a family trust...weird eh? It is for a legal requirement. This is great but I really need to buy/make some proper backgrounds/lighting. The time has come for a flash gun indeed.
