I just got myself a copy of this lens, and after a day or two, I found that it suffers from a bit of lens creep when it is in a vertical position. Do other copies of the lenses suffer from this? I don't think it was mentioned in the review.

Hi kamui18,

I've moved your post to the Sigma forum as, if lens creep is an issue as you suspect, it will be generic rather than Canon specific. Does your lens have a zoom lock switch and, if so, is it permissible to use it during shooting? I've had a quick look at the PhotoZone reviews for the two Sigma 18-200 lenses and neither mentions zoom creep as an issue.

Bob.

Kamui18,

I just came accross this post because I realized my lens has the exact same problem and I was looking online to see if anyone else had it. I got my lens about one month ago. I guess I had not shot any pictures straight down... and today I noticed the problem. I checked and it does it between 50 mm and 96 mm.

Have you been able to find out if anybody else has this same problem?

Thanks,

Iguana7
