Hi All,

Some more pics of the recent car show, I have read with interest Photoj's comments on SteveExeter's shots and so have not posted any pics with the same failings (and I had the same problems to be honest, so many things to think about and we basically left the equipment on Auto )

Anyway again critique welcome.

Please don't let me stop you from sharing with the rest of the forum. I'm glad to hear you've taken my feedback for SteveExeter's images.

With these three, very briefly:

Image 1: Too much clutter. You could have zoomed into a single dial or control and taken a little more abstract image. At the moment there are too many unstraight lines and objects that there isn't a focal point. Car interiors are always a tricky thing to take - there's limited room, light and colour.

Image 2: Illustrates the use of a close zoom. Not terribly sharp, but that would be down to diffraction from the small aperture the camera chose. Fill-flash would light up the tarmac, shadows, and generate some reflections that can be pleasing.

Image 3: I can see why you like this car. I like the way you've chosen a low viewpoint. However the final image doesn't quite do it justice; the left of the car has been cut off the right edge of the frame. The image is also unstraight. Again fill-flash would have been useful.

I hope my feedback here will give some food for thought, though it is from my experience and opinion. And there's no shame leaving your camera on auto.
