Outstanding stuff so far, I really like scottagw's anchor, robford50's bike and really liked the story behind angelo.milioto's 'Pub crawl on the Norfolk Broads'.
I love the inspiration I can get from the talent present on these forums and it all helps to make my next months entry that little bit better. Thanks.

I have a nice idea but it's gonna be hard to set up... hope I'll get it in in time!

More great shots everyone!

Love the bicycle photo JC, and also the photo explaining how it was done.

We've never had anyone post a second photo explaining how it was done, but to stick with the existing guidelines, would you mind posting that photo as a reply to this thread and removing it from the submissions, then it keeps the Assignment submissions thread nice and clean!

Maybe you could also tell us if you felt the camera was really secure on the bike?

Thanks, and again, great shot!

And to anyone who's not entered yet, good luck, and remember to keep the posted image size here at 500 pixels wide - thanks!

Hola

The photo behind the photo:

Image

Felt really safe about the mounting on the rack. The gorillapod was quite steady and also strapped elastic round it for more safety. Didn't biked that fast and is very confident about the lock on the gorillapod. Made a shutter delay for 20 sec. and adjusted it to 10 shots in a row.

Hi GCJ,

May I wish you a warm welcome to the CameraLabs forum.

It's great to see you up and running straight away with an entry in this months "On Assignment". Nothing quite like a pair of condine nozzles to get the pulse racing. 8)

Bob.

Wow, thats an impressive shot there GCJ, any chance you might share where you took it?
I'm off to Rhosnieger on Anglesey on Saturday and I'm hoping to get some great shots from RAF Valley with my 18x zoom :D (I'll post some on another thread when i get back.)

Thanks Bob for the warm welcome. I would like to think that Cameralabs will help and encourage my photography in the future, as it has certainly had an influence on my change from film cameras with Gordans' great reviews.

thanks again GCJ

By far, this is the best "on assignment" so early on...I can not even tell you how browsing thru all of your work is just so neat the innovation, the composition, wonderful...gonna get harder and harder to pick a favorite, am thrilled to see the new faces, such talent...wonderful stuff...

Hi peted,

May I offer you a warm welcome to the CameraLabs forums.

Great to see you up and running straight away with your entry for April. Those boats look like they could do with a warm welcome as well, as for all the world they look like they are huddling together because it's so cold. :)

Bob.

Pretty cool to see those boats....it captured the chill very well, and the expanse of ocean....very neat to see you here, peted...let me say good on you for managing a photo event in your first post...awesome...will look forward to seeing much more of your work..

And I have just one word....ELEPHANTS!!!! Oh, my gosh....that was a surprise. Great shot, and very unique form of transportation, indeed!!
