This is a great shot. I'm a bit if a B&W nut and tried viewing it like that, I added a bit more shadowing and it looked fantastically atmospheric - great viewed on a black background. I would have posted a copy here but didn't know if it would offend you

I'll send you a copy of what I've done with it if you like. Hope this doesn't count as bad behaviour - if so apologies I'm new here.

Black and white was my first insinct as well but it looks great as it is. The only suggestion I could add would be to go back on a stormy day and do an HDR of it. I think that would look quite good and it would certainly add to the mood of the photo. I also had a go at processing the image, but I left it as full colour and gave it a soft, diffused look which I think looks effective on this photo, but I'm no expert so it isn't perfect. I hope you don't mind!

When i see that i think HDR + stormy day rain + a few flashes around the entire house lighting up certain parts (yes i been reading the strobist i bit too much:))

nice old looking farm, but i m left wondering whats around it, what on the sides whats behind it? would mind seeing it this shot at 10mm

IMO, the original has too much trees and branches... and the second lacks focal point (don't blame me it's photoj's influence! )
