Hi:

I got some good advice from "B" (forum user) and others and decided to play around with some natural and softer lighting.

Take a look and feel free to comment on them as I am still learning and appreciate the help.

just as I had hoped!!!! more baby pictures from you..I thought she was pretty before, but my, oh my, she is growing, and just beautiful..

LOVE the first sleeping black and white one, a classic, suitable for framing big.. very very soothing, to my eye, the composition, and light enhance all of the round repeating patterns..

great work Mitch. Just wonderful.

Alex,

I'm glad you liked the photos.

The last two shows were done with her laying on a heavy black cloth.

Post processing:

- Converted to B&W
- Adjusted the levels a bit
- Applied a smidgen of Noise Ninja

Thanks.

Mitch

Hi Patti,

I'm glad you liked the photos, the first one is my favorite. Looking at it makes my heart feel over joyed and reminds me of how lucky we are to be blessed with her.

Thanks,

Mitch

Hi Mitch, nice shots! Were they taken in natural light?

Thanks Gordon.

The first two photos were near a window and some fill flash (flash pointed up and behind me with a diffuser)

The last two I placed her on her changing table with some heavy black cloth beneath her and draped up a bit next to the window, I also used some fill flash (flash pointed up and behind me at around 45deg. to the right with a diffuser).

Mitch
