Ok, i just picked up a few colour filters .... and want to know what their benefits are?

I heard that Red are used to enhance skin tones in Black and White photos.

I have a Blue and Green....and no idea what to do with them.....I couldn't pass them up for 10.00 for the pair though ...... lol

Hi, this answer might come late, but I would say that If you have an D-SLR thatn most of them will be useless for you as you can achieve bether results with photoshop.

They are either used to achive some color effects are more likely in Black & White Photogrophy to get bether results taking shots indoor or other specific light conditions.
