They look like Pin Up girls...in their pose, they are so pretty..I like the first kitty, and I like the rest just fine, too...nice to meet your extended family, Camut

Now that I look again, I like Neka's face, but really I like them all...so different from each other...very cool.

Thanks for your words Patti...

They are sooooo spoiled... I have few opportunities to share their story, so here I go. The Queen is Neka, she was the first one and she really believes that we are cats (or she's a human, I don't know) She has a strong personality but it's our only cat that gives eskimo kisses.

Malu came second. We found her when she was a baby, dirty, hungry and crying. We think she probably fell from a building because she had her back legs paralised. We took her to the vet and told us that she could not walk unless she had spine surgery, she had a double spine fracture... well, we feed her, we loved her and treated like a daughter... 3 weeks later she was giving her first steps without surgery. She's so happy now. She's our only cat with a deep sense of time. She wakes us up at 6AM from Monday to Friday and let's us rest on weekends.

Ame came in third place, but she's the sweetest thing you'll ever know. We found her one evening when we went for cat food to the animal shop. She was in a kennel, alone and pregnant. She begged we took her with us and my wife cried a sea to convince me. We just couldn't resist. She talks a lot and it's our only cat that talks to strangers.

Finally, there's Isabella. We rescued her from a car workshop. She was full of grease and loved to repair cars I guess. She had signs of being beaten up like broken fang, and lots of bumps all over her body. We didn't hesitate to take her with us. She's the little girl. She's our only cat that can speak to the phone and answers when we ask her anything.

I hope you enjoy their story...

Cheers :D

I love the story...constantly amazed the kindness in little ways, that make such a big difference...know exactly what you mean about their personalities..know that they found you, not the other way around..
Like Lah said earlier...there is something universal that photographers are in tune to animals, perhaps a little more then "normal" people...

If this is so, I am in good company, and happy to be a little off kilter...

Wish I could take credit for this shot of my dog Kari in one of the Crufts show rings but as I had to man the Hamiltonstövare Discover Dogs stand with my other dog I lent the camera to a friend. Oh, and this was a fun event and not part of the official Hamiltonstövare judging as neither of my dogs any longer has the necessary equipment in the bedroom department to qualify as a show dog!

The shallow depth of field associated with f/1.2 at 85mm on a 1.6x crop factor body is amazing. 8)

Your dog has a very beautifully shaped face Bob. Almost like it's chiselled. And you got a really good picture of it. Beautifull !

And the Lens, as you say, make the image very good.

Im not sure if im misstaking, but isnt it aaaalmost as if the right part of the ear just slightly is on its way to get out of focus?

I want that lens !

markessex84: I cant tell you enough what a lovelly puppy you've got there. I love the picture when he/she's chewing on the shoe. And the last one.... even a leaf can be veeery interesting, and perhaps dangerous :)
