Anybody playing with this yet? I just downloaded it and set it up, but it seems like it only works over the internet/cloud, not a local network/wi-fi.

I've got it set up on my iPad and it works fine on my home network and on the network at work.

What problems are you experiencing?

Thanks for checking! Like I said, it doesn't appear to work without an internet connection. If you'd like to check into this further, you could:

  • connect both devices to your home wi-fi network
  • disconnect the router's internet cable (or just power off the modem, if it's a separate device)
  • create a new collection and attempt to sync it

But if not, I understand. It's not a huge deal - Mark

That is because your computer and your iPad both sync to the Adobe Creative Cloud. Otherwise you can only sync the devices if they are both on the same network.

PC <---> Cloud <---> iPad

As such it does require an internet connection yes.

Yup, same conclusion I came to originally.

Thanks for the confirmation - Mark

And this would be one reason why I don't like this whole "cloud only" thing:
