The thread is 18 months old ... But ithe 7D was not intentionally out in the open. Niigara had suffered thunderstorms and the swirling winds rendered the free plastic ponchos useless ... They were over our head much of the time.

Strange. In the "View your posts" section the topic was marked as having new posts. It's the only reason why I revisited it in the first place.

Still: I have experienced that "uselessness" of the free plastic ponchos myself, even on a very sunny day. There is a lot of wind down there, and you have to wrestle to keep the poncho from flying all over the place. Pretty funny actually ;).

Same for me, the Canon 7D even this year is still a great camera, and I bought it for only $1,000 US, even when the Canon 7D Mark II is released in fall the 7D would still be a great budget crop frame high speed camera, better for me then the 70D.
