Its the Ontario Legislative Assembly building ( Queens Park) in Ontario Canada.

its where the Canadian equivilant to the Senate meet and the leader of our Province has his office.

Its an honour being part of their Protection Service

creeped me out, for sure.

scary is right, it has an ominous feel to it...great shot, and I am a fraidy-cat about scary stuff...loved it just the same...

Gonna go make sure my doors are locked.

That is a spooky looking place - very much like the opening of a Scooby Doo episode!

I have to ask though TheHawk1973, as a security enforcer, where do you guys stand on stopping people taking photos in public places of things like buildings? I hope whenever someone in your team says 'stop ALL photographers!" that you stand up for us as a voice of reason!

You are allowed to take pictures anywhere in and around the building....
I have even been stationed outside the Premiers office and had a tour group stop to take photos there......
We have a bit of a lax rule on public access at the moment ... all but when #1 is in the house...then things change a bit.

media is not allowed to use the building as a backdrop without permission from out Seargant ant Arms ... but public is allowed whatever they want....

before our House comes back in session i will take some more shots of the inside .. its equally as spooky at night...lol

Oh , and the building where his second office is (next door) was uses for ghostbusters... the movie... the roof scene with the Stay Puff Marshmellow man... the roof with the white tower ..thats here also....

Where would i post "architectual photos" of the 150yr old craftsmanship of this building including the wood carvings and plaster work?

glad you enjoyed it!

I think Scotland is 10x more beautiful...

I was there last march and it was solely the landscape and the history that made my buy a DSLR ... i have too many pictures (of the 647) that could have been much better....

Ill be back next June for a month... i cant wait!

Fiances family is from there...she was born there actually.... near Airdre (chapelhall)

I love the History, the architecture and the landscape..I would move there if i could... but Ive only gotten offers from Englands(my roots) Protective Service , not Scotlands .... yet anyway..lol

And you never will mate, lol. Chapelhall, bet you wouldn't live there now. I sure as hell woudn't.

However, your fiances choice of relocation would indicate she's a clever woman and I'd not hesitate in marrying her forthwith.

I love old buildings, that one just shines and inviting welcome 8) 8) I could walk around the streets of most main cities and be inspired by the buildings. This one is great. Thanks for sharing.

Loved the little thread that followed, made me chuckle.

Cheers Ormina
