This looks interesting! I have been looking upon photography as my "exit strategy" upon retirement from public/civil service, and while earning income from shooting is not necessarily a goal, it could certainly be a potential consideration. (Police patrol is a young person's game; we typically retire in our early- to mid-fifties. I am fifty-two, and for the past five years, have noticed decline in such things as reaction time, energy, and ability to adjust my vision when the light changes.)

For this particular job, however, I would need to learn much more about sports shooting and portraiture, and post-processing. The evidentiary photography I am now doing can be quite challenging, but is specialized. The flowers, birds, and small creatures I tend to shoot during my own time are a bit different from families! Sports has been a latent interest.

Canon 5Ds R/7D2/7D/5D/40D/1D2N/M3; Nikon F6/D3s/D700/FM3A/1Dx/Coolpix A. Lens selection undergoing changes; some favorites: Zeiss 2/135 APO Sonnar, Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS and 135L, Nikkor 14-24/2.8G and 24-70/2.8G.
