I am looking for a P&S camera, with good zoom and good still/video quality. I dont count pixels. This is for family photos, vacations, kids sports, etc. Right now I am looking at the sony HX50, sony wx300 and panasonic tz40. Looking to spend around 250 and wondering if the stretch to 300 buck is worth it for the sony hx50. I dont need the hot shoe. Appreciate feedback from anyone who owns any of these.

Thank you

Hi there,

My wife has this and she is pleased, though she only recieved it for Christmas and so hasn't had much of a chance to use it yet. The only thing she is isn't happy about (although she knew this before she bought it!) is that you can't record raw files on the superzoom. I don't know if that would bother you. voucherbox.co.uk not a bad place to check out some good discounts.

We are heading into the country this weekend, taking the camera, and so I can fill you in with how it went! Maybe even post some of the pics up here.

Sam
